Privacy policy

Last updated 2 November 2026

AV Architect is made by Atropos Industries Pty Ltd ("Atropos", "we"). This policy explains what personal information the AV Architect app and its library service handle, and why. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

Using the app without an account

In Standalone mode, everything stays on your device. We receive nothing from it except the routine request your device makes when it checks for app updates (see "Updates" below).

Signing in

When you sign in with Google, Google tells us your name, email address and a Google account identifier. We use these to know who you are, to show your name next to changes you make, and to decide what you can do in your team's library. We never see or store your Google password.

What we store for your team

Your project files stay wherever you save them. The library service does not receive your projects, clients, sites or drawings.

Where it is kept

The library service runs on Google Cloud in Sydney, Australia. Google Cloud is our service provider and processes this information on our behalf.

Updates

The app checks a file on Google Cloud Storage for new versions. Like any web request, this includes your device's internet address, which Google may record in its logs.

What we do not do

We do not sell personal information, use it for advertising, or share it with anyone except the service providers named here or where the law requires it. Optional AI-assisted features are switched off; if we switch them on, we will update this policy first.

How long we keep it

We keep your team's library and membership while your team uses AV Architect. Backups are kept for up to 400 days. Service logs are kept for up to 30 days.

Your choices

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account. Email help@atropos.com.au. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
